I was present at Old Trafford for this match. United managed to score 5 goals against Wigan for the second time this season. Carrick scored a good goal, Rooney scored one and hit the bar twice, Valencia scored a goal and created another 3, Berbatov scored his 6th goal of the season while Rafael scored his fisrt goal of the season.
It was a great performance by United who played the best football I've seen this year. Rooney and Valencia were on fire. United's(and the premier league's)final goal of the decade was an absolute beauty with Valencia chipping the ball over Wigan's goalie after some fine moves by Rooney.
With Chelsea dropping points, United are still in the hunt for the Premier League. This year the top teams in the PL have become weaker compared to last year, however the other clubs have strengthened their teams wisely and that is what's making this years PL so exciting and unpredictable. Next match is vs our hated rivals Leeds United. I think Fergie will field some of our promising young players. Bring em on!
