Tottenham 2 - 2 United

Our boys did well to come back from behind twice. We were playing at a pretty tough venue and a draw is probably a fair result. If we weren't in the position we are currently in, this draw would be a good result but we had to win to keep the pace with the leaders and at the end of the day it's two points dropped. Rooney stood out once again as he scored two goals. Another player who impressed me was Valencia who extended his superb performance in midweek with a fine display today.

The first goal we conceded was avoidable. The foul was stupid and the wall jumped when the players in it didn't really have to. Their second goal was absolutely stunning and there was little De Gea could do. The execution was fantastic BUT I feel Cleverley could have done something about it. Sandro went past him way too easily.

With Chelsea, City and Arsenal winning, we have now lost more ground and overcoming a 9 point gap will be very difficult. Arsenal will lose games, sure, but so will we. Anyhow, we knew this would be a difficult season and we should be probably aiming at retaining our place in the Champions League and maybe go for a cup. It will take Moyes time to fully get to know his team and to build a team of his own. Whatever happens, I will give him my full backing starting from Wednesday when I'll be at Old Trafford to cheer my beloved reds on and have a beer or two in honour of the good times this great football club has provided to its supporters. Won't be blogging for the upcoming couple games. Come on UNITED!
