This was the perfect opportunity for Moyes to give a chance to the players who haven't starred yet this season. The likes of Nani, Jones, Chicharito, Rafael, Buttner and Evans needed some game time and our manager duly obliged. Moyes didn't field our best XI and this bold move paid its dividend as our boys put in a very good performance to see off a Liverpool side which had most of its regular players in the starting XI. Well done Moyes, well done United.

I'm very happy for Chicharito who scored his first of the season. His goal celebration showed that he's a tad frustrated with his current situation. He can't get much game time but he has to accept that he'll have to play second fiddle to our world class attacking duo. He took his goal well after some excellent movement in the box and showed signs that his first touch has improved drastically.

Jones, De Gea, Smalling, Rafael and Rooney all had a very good game but my man of the match was Evans. If I'm not mistaken this was his first performance this season and he showed why Moyes should consider giving our Johnny some game time instead of Rio Ferdinand. The latter has looked a bit jaded this year. I think it's time for Evans to become our first choice central defender next to Vidic.

I'm very happy with the performance but I'm even more happy with Moyes' decision to play this team. We had 7 first team regulars missing (Rio, Vida, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini and RVP) and we still managed to beat the scousers. A win that will definitely help ease the pain of last Sunday's defeat. We'll now be facing Norwich in the next round of the cup. It will be a good chance for Januzaj, Zaha and, perhaps, Lingard  to show what they're worth. Nothing beats the excitement of watching really talented kids making it with the senior squad.

West Brom next.
