United 3 - 1 M'Boro

Amos;
Rafael, Brown, Vidic, O’Shea;
Nani, Anderson, Possebon (Gibson 72);
Giggs(Manucho 84), Ronaldo (Tevez 61), Welbeck.

The starting line up did not surprise me at all. I knew Fergie wanted to give Ronaldo another run out to become more match fit. Vidic needed a match after missing the last game vs Chelsea, the same goes with Giggs and Brown while Nani is still not match fit, so I'm glad Fergie fielded a decent team that blended youth with experience. Once again I was heavily impressed with Rafael. He's fast, he could defend, he could attack, impressive. The goals came from Nani, Giggs & Ronaldo. Ronaldo's headed goal reminded me of what we could expect from him now that he's back, while Giggsy's chip was quite classy. Nani unleashed his speed to score a decent goal late on.
I must admit though that M'Boro did contribute to their own demise with two defensive errors that lead to Nani and Giggs's goals. It could have ended with extra time or even penalties had Boro's defenders been more focused.

Manucho, finally, played in a United shirt. He only played for 15 minutes so I can't really judge him, but he looks to be a decent passer of the ball. The only down from this match was Possebon's injury which will defenitely rule him out of action for several weeks. Luckily he did not break his leg.

Next match vs Bolton, heavily dubbed as the game that will turn our season upside down after a dismal start. Time will tell.
