United 4-1 M'Boro

Starting Line Up:
VDS
Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, O’Shea
Ronaldo, Anderson, Hargreaves, Nani
Rooney, Tevez

Another 4 goals, and once again I got what I wanted, a thrilling display of football a couple of goals and the 3 points. The Tevez & Rooney partnership continued to flourish and what a goal this couple managed to produce! I’m referring to the 3rd goal. Anyway United opened the scoring with a sublime strike by Nani after only 3 minutes, Boro got back in the game with a fine goal after O’Shea was given a turnabout but dominant United finished the game in style with a goal by Rooney and a brace by Tevez.

So the game got off to a flyer, United scored immediately through Nani, the winger cut in from the left and smashed a bending strike into the top corner. Class. But Boro managed to equalize minutes later. Some sloppy defending allowed Aliadiere to head home. Boro looked dangerous on various occasions but it was United who took the lead after half an hour through Wayne Rooney. An error by Downing allowed Rooney to score. The first half ended 2-1, to be honest United could have been further ahead had Tevez & Ronaldo capitalized on their chances.

The second half started and once again United were keen to finish off Boro and 10 minutes in the second half we witnessed a move that left me and my mates gobsmacked. It was outstanding football really, Rooney was thoroughly involved and Tevez finished the move after a series of one two’s. If you didn’t watch the match, make sure you watch the replay. My verdict? Pure Class. United continued to flow and it was Tevez who finished off M’Boro. Another good understanding between Rooney and Tevez with the latter completing the icing on the cake.

Another 3 points won against a team we only managed to draw last season. Some gorgeous football finished off the Boro side. Our next hurdle is Arsenal, if we play like we’ve been doing for the past couple of weeks we’ll give high flying Arsenal a tough time. Arsenal will play tomorrow at Anfield and I hope points are dropped there. If this happens, a win against the Gunners next week will put us on top of the table…only if.

Player Ratings: VDS-7, Brown-7, Ferdinand-6, Vidic-7, O'Shea-7, Ronaldo-8, Anderson-7, Hargreaves-8, Nani-9, Rooney-9, Tevez-9. (Pique-6, Fletcher-7, Giggs-6)
