Leicester City 2 - 2 United

We were winning 2-1 when Lingard missed this. The game finished 2-2. FRUSTRATING.
Wow. How disappointing was that? A 94th minute equaliser won Leicester a point but we should have been out of sight by then. Our strikers let us down today. I am not talking about Lukaku, because I thought he was excellent. I am talking about Martial, Lingard and Rashford, they all missed a sitter each. We should have probably won the game by, at least, 3 goals.

Instead we missed the chances and missed a great opportunity to move further away from Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, who all dropped points this weekend. I didn't think we played badly but as some of our attacking play was really good on the eye. But we missed too many chances and that's what happens when you fail to take your chances; you drop points. What's even more frustrating is that we failed to put Leicester to the sword, and even conceded a goal, despite them having a player sent off on the 70th minute.

What is becoming blazingly obvious is that we lack a leader on the pitch. Jones tried to organise things when Smalling's groin went but there was a mess at the back. Pogba should work more on becoming a leader on the pitch. It's much better than changing hairstyles every fuckin week. Did Herrera really refuse to go to a right-back position? If that's true, he should be shown the door this January. All this guy does is pump the crowd and whines on the floor every time a player touches him. He used to look good in our midfield, but that was when we had Schneiderlin and an old Bastian Schweinsteiger. With Pogba and Matic, he looks way off. The only reason why I would want him to stay at United is to persuade DDG to stay here this summer, as he's good friends with him.

Anyway, a very disappointing start to the festive schedule with a loss against Bristol and now a draw in a game that we should have won. At least we were treated to a masterpiece of a freekick by Juan Mata. Well played.

I'd like to wish you all, followers of this blog, a wonderful Christmas. I'll be back here on Boxing Day. Come on United!
