Arsenal 1 - 3 United

Lingard scored his third goal in a week. Another excellent performance by the Englishman. Photo: Getty

That was one of the best games of football I've watched in a very long time. It was end to end stuff played at lightning speed. I almost felt tired after watching the game. That's the way football should be played; not good for my heart but amazing entertainment.

United started the game brightly and were 2-0 up after fifteen minutes. Valencia opened the score after a fine one-two with Pogba and Lingard doubled it after an excellent move that also involved Lukaku and Martial. Martial's flick that set up Jesse was majestic.

Arsenal decided to wake up after our second goal and, I must admit, I thought their forward players were really good. Lacazette was particularly impressive. They did manage to score a goal but they could have scored at least two more if it wasn't for David De Gea. I think he managed to produce three world-class saves today. His double save to deny Lacazette and Sanchez was unbelievable. What a goalie! Is he the best in the world? Possibly. Let's hope he can be convinced to stay in Manchester. Give the guy a contract he cannot refuse. My man of the match.

Almost as impressive was Jesse Lingard who ran his socks off again today and deservedly scored two goals. Would have definitely been my man of the match but De Gea was on another level. I'm pretty pleased with all players, all of them did a good job. We have to remember that, prior to this game, Arsenal hadn't dropped a single point at home this season and had only conceded 4 times. We managed to stop their 100% record and almost doubled their goals conceded tally....so well done to all our players and, of course, the manager.

The only taint in what was a perfect day of football was Pogba's red card. Was it deliberate? No. But it was a red card. He will miss the game vs. City next Sunday. Guardiola must be super pleased as it is obvious we started playing better as soon as Pogba recovered from his injury. The guy's world-class. Hopefully we won't miss him too much come Sunday but I know that we will. I don't really believe in this United side without Pogba. We'll wait and see what'll happen but we definitely can't settle for anything other than the three points. A loss and City will run away with the league.

Come on United.
