Despite winning against the Turkish side with relative ease a fortnight ago we struggled to create opportunities during this game and that cost us the three points. If points are won depending on possession, then we would've won the game hands down but possession is irrelevant if you don't do anything with it. Lets forget the Burnley game, it has happened time and again this season when we play a game without really threatening the opposition goal. Our goal was a lovely strike from distance so we didn't really carve any opening to score it.

Our play from midfield to the final third was extremely poor. It's like there is no connection. With slow strikers like Roo and Ibra, I'm not surprised that we fail to worry the opposition's defence. We need a deadly striker who is not over the hill and actually runs. What was even more worrying was our defence. The few times Fenerbache attacked, our defenders looked clueless. I agree with Scholes when he said that with Blind and Rojo at centre back, we'll need to score three. True, the pair were good against City but they looked slow and lacked aggressiveness all game today. Just look at Skrtel how he went in tackles!

I'm not too bothered if we don't get through to the second round of the Europa League. The less games the better because at the moment we really look clueless and with so many games, we are getting very important players injured. Pogba's name was added to Valencia's, Smalling's and Bailly's on the injury list. Shaw looks alarmingly off the pace at the moment too.

We've got to play Swansea away from home next. I will be watching it at a bar with the famous Man Utd chanter Peter Boyle so there will be no immediate post after the game. I am not confident at all. I've got a feeling that we will drop more points. Anyway....come on United!
