Excellent. This is what football's all about. The game was pure theatre; an 18 year old scoring a brace on his Premier League debut, an ex-United player getting on the scoresheet for Arsenal and van Gaal finally getting off his seat and providing a scene that will be replayed time and again. Old Trafford's best Premier League game for quite a while. Also, it had been a while since a Man Utd v. Arsenal game had been this entertaining.

Arsenal are a good team, no doubt, but if they can't beat a United side that had soooooo many players missing, then they're definitely not worthy of becoming champions of England. I know they had Chambers and their little Spanish midfielder missing (forgot his name, sorry) but that's nowhere near to the amount of players we have on the injury list. If I was an Arsenal supporter, and thank God I'm not, I'd be hugely disappointed with today's performance.

As for us, United fans, we have every right to be beaming. In a season that had so many downs, it's great to see us turn up in yet another big game. It's a shame we lost so many points against smaller sides that we should be beating. The problem is that the gap between us and fourth place is quite wide (potentially, 6 points) and I don't think there's a way back into it. Tottenham don't look like slipping and City won't be dropping much points. Leceister's 12 points are too much to overtake and Arsenal will definitely get into top 4, coz that's what they do. So our players can play the remainder of the season with little pressure. They can take risks, they can be entertaining; just like they were today.

What's even more pleasing is the fact that we fielded so many young players. Varela, Lingard, Mensah, Rashford, Januzaj, Weir, Memphis. That's 7 players from the 14 that featured today. They're all very young. Great to see Memphis show up again. What a difference he might have made if he performed like this all season! Varela was absolutely fantastic. He played a part in two goals and did ever so well to stay focused despite the early yellow card. Well played! And what about Rashford?! That's exactly what dreams are made of. Absolutely chuffed for the young kid. Hopefully he won't be another Macheda and build on from here. It will be difficult to follow up this early success and hopefully success won't fire up to his head. Fingers crossed he's the real deal. I'v seen to many promising young footballers whose careers dissipates into thin air. This guy has come out of nowhere and stunned the world of football. Two goals and an assist. Man of the match, no doubt.

As for the older heads..... Carrick showed his leadership qualities and Blind read the game like he always does. I'm a bit disappointed with Rojo, he should have dealt with Welbeck's goal. Schneiderlin and Herrera did a lot of hard work and Mata had a very good game. All in all it was a good performance and I'm absolutely delighted with our players.

Fair play to the players, fair play to Louis van Gaal. I like our manager as a human being, I just don't like the style of football that he plays more often than not.

Watford next. Third Old Trafford win in a row? Is it too much to ask for? Come on United.
