That was awful.  I didn't expect such a poor performance from our boys. We had the chance to book our place in the second round but failed to make home advantage count and had to settle for a draw. PSV were faultless at the back and when they left a bit of space, our players either passed back or fluffed their chances. I am really disappointed. We now need to win in Germany to get through to the second round and, based on today's performance, I think that will be very difficult. What's worse is that if we fail to win, we'll have to play in the Europa League which is nothing but a massive nuisance. So we simply must win in Germany, not just to get through to the second round of the CL but also to avoid playing in the Europa League.

There were so many poor performances today. Schneiderlin must have had his worst game in his career. He seemed incapable of placing an accurate pass. Memphis is more and more reminding me of Nani; brilliant on a few occasions, frustrating on my others. He's obviously still young so time is on his side to learn his trade. Martial was very quiet and failed to beat his man. He did have a chance but opted for an outside-of-the-boot shot to the near post when placing to the far post was a better option. Again, he's only 19 he's bound to get better.

Rooney wasn't really involved in the game. He had little service and kept falling deeper and deeper to try and involve himself in the game. At times he was playing in a full-back position. That's not where you want Roo. Young managed to get some crosses in when he got on the pitch but there wasn't anybody in the box willing to attack the ball. I expected much better from Fellaini.

I can't really say anything bad about our defence except that our fullbacks should have been better on the overlap. Our best player today was Lingard who had a good first half. Unfortunately, he should have won us the game but his lack of confidence/experience - call it whatever you want - in front of goal has prevailed once again. He needs to realise that he's a decent footballer and should be finishing such chances. He had two good chances last Saturday that he fluffed too.

I am disappointed after the highs of last Saturday's last minute win. We need to be better, we need to be faster. Leicester will play with a high tempo and we simply need to be much better than today if we want to beat the Foxes and get ourselves on top of the Premier League. I'd give up Champions League football if it gave us a better chance of sustaining our current Premier League run. However, giving up Champions League football in a fortnight would also mean that we'd be in the Europa League. Nope. I don't want that. So hopefully United can beat Wolfsburg in two weeks time. Till then we need to beat Leicester and West Ham. Obviously, it's easier said than done. Come on United, I know you can do better.
