Football is a funny old game. United were leading by 3 goals on the 40th minute but an Olic goal, a red card for Rafael and a stunning goal by Robben contributed to United's downfall. United started the first half exceptionally well. Gibson scored a good goal and Nani manage to score through an audacious flick. Things got even better. Valencia managed to ease past the Bayern left-back and after a good pass, Nani finished superbly. I thought we where home and dry, but heck I was wrong.

It's easy to point fingers at players but it is evident, we lost this tie because of Rafael's inexperience. He was having the game of his life but he got needlessly sent off and that was a big blow for United. We did manage 4 decent chances after the sending off but Bayern were simply better with that extra man.

We are now out of the Champions League, the first time we didn't get through to the Final since this blog's start. We need to concentrate on the league and hopefully win it. The only consolation I can take from this game is that I can now enjoy the Champions League without fearing for my life...

This game completes a nightmare week for United, but we'll NEVER die!
