United 1 - 2 Man City

Yeah we lost vs City at our own backyard, but to be honest City deserve this result since they defended excellently. I was really impressed by Dunne, he was perfect. United paid tribute to the fallen United players who died in the Munich air crash. Thankfully no Man City supporter tried to spoil the 1 minute silence, but the City players certainly did their best to spoil United's 'festivities'. The 1 minute silence was a fitting tribute but a win would have been the best way to honour the United players who passed away on the 6th of Feb 1958.

Although we enjoyed most of the possesion, our performance was poor. We failed to trouble the inexperienced City keeper. This was a match were the significance of Wayne Rooney to the United squad prevails.

City's two load lead came from Vassell and Benjani, our keeper couldn't do much about these goals. Carrick might have given us a bit of hope and a 'de ja vu' of the Champions League final in 1999, but in the end his goal didn't mean anything at all and United went on to lose their 4th game of the season. I just hope both Chelsea and Arsenal lose some points in their respective game.

Should Arsenal win tomorow, they'll open up a 5 point gap which will be hard to reduce. But afterall United always do things the hard way so winning the league will be no big deal. That's why I love United.
