Ireland XI 1 - 7 United

Kuszczak (Amos 64);
Evans, Smalling, Vidic, O'Shea;
Valencia, Carrick (Fletcher 37), Gibson, Park (Nani 64);
Rooney (Hernandez 45), Owen (Berbatov 45)

United ran riot in Dublin yesterday evening. The goals were scored by Park(x2), Chicharito, Nani(pen), Evans, Owen and Valencia. Owen's, Chicharito's and Valencia's goals were well taken. It was a joy to see Owen get back on the scoresheet after a long absence due to an injury which ruled him out for the final third of last season.

Chicharito scored a goal and created another. This lad could be the bargain of the season. He wasn't that expensive and he seems to be a good striker. Fergie compared him to Solskjaer last week. If he does at least half of what the Norwegian did for us, then I would be a happy man. Personality-wise he seems to be similar to Ole but let's just hope he delivers and meets our sky high expectations.

Next Sunday the big headache that lasts over 9 months starts again. The new seasons kicks off with the season curtain raiser vs Chelsea. Chelsea didn't really invest in their squad this year, but then again, nor did we. I do believe that the future looks bright for United. We have a lot of young talent, the question is, are our youngsters ready to mount a serious title challenge this season? I believe, that with the mixture of youth and experience that we have, we are more than capable of getting back the Premiership crown back where it belongs i.e Old Trafford. It will surely be a tough season though. Liverpool employed a decent manager, Arsenal's youngsters have the experience of one more season in the bag, Chelsea are always going to be tough and Tottenham are an unpredictable football team. Meanwhile, Man City have been spending silly money on new players. The latest rumour is that they are ready to spend 64Million on Balotelli. Come on! They will definitely be a tough team to beat, they have a squad full of stars but heck, they will never get the class that oozes out of Manchester United. COME ON UNITED!

3 Years On
On another note this blog starts its 3rd year today. I love blogging about United and, as long as my love for United does not come to an unexpected halt, I will keep on blogging.
