Everton 1 - 1 United

VDS
Brown Rio Vida Evra
Ronaldo Giggs Fletcher(Tevez) Park(Anderson)
Rooney(Nani) Berbatov

As the saying goes, this was a match of two halfs. United outplayed Everton in the first half meanwhile during the second half United had to taste the bitter taste of their own medicine. Fletcher, who in my opinion had an excellent game along side Giggs, opened the scoring with a brilliant run into box and a fine finish. United could have increased the margin but saves from Howard kept the score to just 1 nil. A scoreline which is never safe, something we learned about in the second half when constant pressure by Everton resulted into a goal. A goal which Everton deserved.

The defence didn't have the best of matches. Vidic made some clumsy tackles, Rio wasn't focused at all, Evra failed to clear crosses and Brown who was the best defender out of the four committed some stupid mistakes. Berbatov played well in the first half while Rooney had a quiet match. But let's face it, the best moment of the match was provided by Rooney yet again. That is when he kissed the Manchester United crest. Class.

One last word. I really feel sorry for Tevez. He doesn't look happy at the Club and he doesn't deserve the situation he is in at the moment. I hope he starts a couple of matches in the foreseeable future before it's too late and we lose a player worthy of his price tag, a player who nowadays is difficult to find.
