Barcelona 0 - 0 United

VDS
Hargreaves Rio Brown Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Scholes Park
Rooney Tevez

I'm stuck between two minds. Should I be happy because United got out of the frightening Nou Camp without losing? Or should I be disappointed because United didn't score a priceless away goal? United had a great chance of scoring that vital away goal but Ronaldo missed the penalty. Like I said last Saturday, he is human afterall!

0-0 is a dangerous result. If the 2nd leg ends in a draw with both sides scoring, something both sides are well capable of doing, United would get eliminated. Such an elimination would be even more heart breaking given the fact that United would be out of the tournament without losing a single game. Which is a bit unfair, but that's football.

Anyway I expected a good game with attacking football but I got the opposite. A boring match were United kept defending and defending without really trying to test the Barca defence. A match between 2 sides from the Gozitan football league would have been even more entertaining than this match. Rooney was played as a defensive midfielder while Ronaldo was played as a centre forward. The result? A Crap performance from both players. Ferdinand, Brown and Evra had a great game and did well to deal with the breath taking Messi.

I hope Fergie plays the players in their natural position next Tuesday and yes I believe that United are more than capable of beating Barca. Meanwhile our next match could be a title decider. If United win vs Chelsea we would be Champions of England for the 2nd time in a row... I expect this side to the deliver, the whole world is expecting.

VDS-7, Hargo-7, Rio-8, Brown-8, Evra-8, Ronaldo-5, Scholes-6, Carrick-6, Park-5, Rooney-5, Tevez-6. (Nani-5)
