A match which United won 2-0 but in reality could have or should I say SHOULD have won by a larger score. The football played in the first half was an eye pleaser but the second half deluded me to be honest. Ronaldo scored both goals and he's got a total of 27 goals this season. Simply amazing.
Ronaldo opened the scoring on 10 minutes, sliding the ball inside David James' near post after a slick move involving Paul Scholes and Nani. Just three minutes later, the irrepressible Ronaldo scored again, thumping a dipping free-kick beyond the flat-footed James.
Although I'm a wee bit disapointed that we did not score more, I'm pretty pleased with the way things are going at United. We're playing great football, but we should learn how to capitalise on our chances. Rooney needs to re-learn how to strike a ball, immediately. Apart from his finishes all the team players played well, particularly Paul Scholes. The defence was once again exceptional, VDS should have stayed home and watched the match on the telly. He was virtually a spectator. Full credit to our defence.
Next match is vs Tottenham away from home. Their team will be all out to get revenge for last weekend's defeat to United. I just hope we get out of White Hart Lane with the 3 points.
