Aston Villa 0 - 2 United
Wayne Rooney scored under the watchful eye of new England coach Fabio Capello as Manchester United ruined Aston Villa's
FA Cup chances once more. Rooney inspired United after coming on as substitute with 20 minutes left. He fired just over seconds before Cristiano Ronaldo turned home Ryan Giggs' cross with nine minutes left. Rooney then provided a superb finish with a minute left, firing across Scott Carson as United sealed a place in the FA Cup fourth round.
This was by no means a great performance by United( Yes, I'm always complaining). United only performed when Rooney came on. He was the spark that ignited the remainder of the match. Saha looked, well, rusted. I think Fergie should give up on him and buy a new striker, we desperately need one to compliment the Rooney and Tevez partnership. The defence was solid once again and I can't complain about the midfield. Anderson seems to have cemented his place in the team with such performances.
Our next match is vs Newcastle. Obviously I expect a win.
Also, I'd like to mention Michael Mifsud who scored two goals against Blackburn. He's surely knocking on the Premier League's door. Kick Saha out and bring Mifsud! What you're waiting for Fergie? Oh Wait, I forgot we already bought a 'superstar' from Angola. Too bad I already forgot his name.
