Chivas 3 - 2 United

So United lost another preseason game. Chicharito managed to get his name on the scoresheet again, but for Chivas. Smalling and Nani scored the United goals.

MLS 2 - 5 United

So United won their final match on American soil. I have just watched the highlights and it was a real joy to watch our youngsters play the way they did. Macheda got a brace while Gibson, Cleverley and new boy Chicharito scored a goal each.

Macheda scored two well taken goals. It's good to see him back on the score sheet and I guess this season could be a big one for the Italian. Gibson's scored a stunner. I have never seen Darron score an ordinary goal anyway. Cleverley scored a real gem of a goal too. His control, before placing the ball at the back of the net, was impeccable. I hope we keep the lad, he seems to be a really talented footballer and I guess he has a future at OT. Meanwhile another youngster, who I firmly believe has a bright future wearing the red of Manchester, is Chicharito. He scored a good goal and looked threatening whenever he touched the ball. I'm looking forward to see him play this season.

Next match is vs Chivas. Chicharito will play the first half with his former club and the second half with United. Fergie already warned him that he'll be sent back home if he scores against United... teehee

Kansas City 2 - 1 United

United lost this game playing against 10 men for most of the match. Berbatov scored from the spot. Once again, I missed this game.

Philadelphia Union 0-1 Manchester United

Obertan scored the winning goal. Welbeck did some good work to set up the Frenchman.
Click here to see Obertan's goal.

I didn't watch the match so I cannot really say anything about the match.

United 3 - 1 Celtic

Van der Sar;
Rafael (De Laet 63), Smalling, J.Evans (Brown 45), Fabio (O'Shea 45);
Obertan (Macheda 63), Fletcher, Scholes (Gibson 45), Giggs (Cleverley 45);
Berbatov, Diouf (Welbeck 63)
Berbatov, Welbeck & Cleverley scored the goals. I didn't watch the game so I can't really say anything about it. All I learned, from some reports I read, is that Berbatov impressed, Obertan played a good match a so did Diouf. Cleverley seems to be an interesting player as well. I've read good reviews about him and he scored when he came off the bench yesterday.

This was just a pre-season match, true, but the build up to the goals were good to see. Rio and Owen are still out and I have absolutely no clue on when Hargo will return. I love that player but heck he is spending too much time out injured and I guess this season is his last chance(he should be thankful Fergie gave him another chance).

Anyway I'm glad that club football is back. No more vuvuzelas(hopefully), no more psychic octopuses and no more mediocre football(let's face it the football we were made to watch in the world cup wasn't the kind of football that would get you on the edge of your seat.) C'mon UNITED!
