United 3 - 1 Tottenham
VDS
Rafael(Macheda) Evans Vidic Evra(O'Shea)
Valencia(Carrick) Scholes Fletcher Giggs Nani
Berbatov
Some, who certainly didn't watch the match, may argue that we were lucky for being awarded two penalties, but hey, both of them were dead cert penalties! All of the players did well today, yes, even Berbatov! Scholes controlled the midfield during the first half but faded as the match grew older. The back four were rock solid while Giggs, although not so effective during play, scored 2 important goals. Nani made a couple of bad decisions at times but, in my opinion, he won us the game. Macheda made an immediate effect on the game by feeding Nani an inch perfect through ball.
This sums up a wonderful Saturday afternoon...except for the sickening image of Evra vomitting, which is still imprinted on my mind!
ps. I loved the sight of Rooney cheering our goals in the director's box. It shows that he feels just like us supporters!

With Rooney and Rio missing, I thought we were going to struggle against this strong Tottenham side. However, in my opinion, and certainly not in the commentator's opinion, I thought United controlled the game well. During the first half we didn't create too many chances, but neither did Tottenham. Meanwhile, in the second half, we had a couple of decent chances while Tottenham only troubled VDS a maximum of two times. So I can't really phatom why on earth the SKY commentator was blabbering about United not playing well. Nani's exquisite chip was sandwiched between two Giggs penalties, 3 goals that put us on top of the table.
