United 0 - 3 Tottenham
What a header by Kane |
Can't believe what's happening to my football club. Our second loss in three games and we've got a couple of tough away games coming up.
The score is a bit misleading. United weren't that bad. Actually our players did quite well until Tottenham scored their first goal. What worried me is that there was no fight in our players after conceding and the first goal led to the second and that was game over.
Our defending was shambolic once again. Jones was lucky not to give away a penalty in the first half and the marking for the first goal wasn't good. Kane showed what a brilliant finisher he is with a brilliant header. A brilliant finisher WE DO NOT HAVE. No matter what everyone says, no one's making me believe that Lukaku is the striker we need up front. This is the third game in which he missed a very very good chance. Last week he missed quite an easy chance at 0-0 and then we went on to lose 2-3. Today he missed an open goal at 0-0 and we lost 0-3. Yes, our defence is shit. But if the players up front aren't scoring then it's even more difficult for our defenders.
Shaw was our best player, again. His performance was faultless. This cannot be said for the likes of Pogba, Sanchez, Matic, Lindelof, Herrera, and Lukaku. Where were you when United needed you? It's almost heartbreaking seeing the attitude and standard of some of our players. I feel sorry for De Gea, that guy should have Varane and Ramos in front of him. Instead he is playing behind players who are obviously not good enough.
I won't blame Mourinho for this one, I actually felt a tad sorry for him. He was almost in tears when walking to the tunnel. What he did at the end of the game felt almost like a goodbye. There are a lot of problems at Manchester United, starting from the owners, the CEO, manager and the players. It's obvious that someone needs to go - the players won't go while the CEO is lining the pockets of the owners so you all know who'll be shown the door soon.
Oh well, Burnley next. Let's hope we see today's first half performance and hopefully get a result. Still early days, obviously, but this is going to be a very difficult season.
