So it's almost job done in the Champions League. If I've done my calculations correctly, we only need another point to secure top place. I know, I am a genius.

This was an easy group really but the boys have done really well to beat the teams put in front of them. There were times when we couldn't get through the group stage in the past and, let's be honest, back then we also faced teams of the same calibre of the ones we're facing this year. So let's not moan too much about the lack of entertainment and just appreciate that we're top of Group A, scored 10 and only conceded once.

I've heard a lot of people complain about our level of play lately and I understand their concerns. We surely haven't been setting the world alight and it is quite obvious that we're missing a certain Mr. Pogba. If you follow my blog, you'd know that I've complained a bit as well. However, I am absolutely loving all the pundits talking bad about our play. McManaman and Redknapp said they wouldn't want to see their team managed by Mourinho. It's like this manager managed to turn the world against us....AGAIN. And I absolutely love that. You wouldn't take our results over Klopp's miserable record at Anfield, Steve? Fuck off.

So, what about this game? It was a decent performance by the boys. Rashford played for like 20 minutes and won a penalty. When he's in the mood there's only one way to stop him and that's by fouling him. Martial also looked like he was in the mood and won a penalty which he then missed. He kind of overdid it at times but the way he took the piss out of Benfica's defenders was a joy the watch. It was great to have three academy graduates involved in this game. McTominay had a good game while Lingard went out injured.

We were quite lucky with our first goal as Matic hit the post and the ball bounced off the back of Benfica's goalie and into the goal. Blind scored our second from the spot.

Can't really say much more about this game. Can't wait for Sunday. Another tough test awaits at Stamford Bridge. Come on United!
