Fulham 2 - 0 United
Well, what can I say? This is simply unbelievable. 8 days ago we were sitting comfortably at the top of the table laughing arrogantly at our title challengers with points to spare. Today we are still at the top of the table but our lead of 10 points could be cut to just 1 point. Of course, we still have that massive game in hand. Just as my friend pointed out, I guess it's our arrogance that brought us to this state. We thought we were unbeatable, heading for a quintuple, but Liverpool and Fulham have taught us a harsh lesson. We just cannot slip again and bearing in mind that we have to play Aston Villa, Arsenal, Man City and M'Boro I think that another slip is highly likely.
Dimitar Berbatov, who was absolutely useless during the 45 should have headed United in front from Cristiano Ronaldo's fifth-minute cross. And he was made to pay after Scholes was dismissed for a blatent handball and Murphy scored from the spot. To be honest, Fulham outplayed United in the first half and we never looked like scoring. The second half was a different story, In comes Rooney for Berbatov and he single handedly manages to change the game. We were unlucky not to score, their goalie was performing miracles. Gera scored their second goal against the run of play. Game over. To add insult to injury Rooney was sent off for throwing the ball violently. I don't agree with the Ref's decision, Rooney's intention was to hurry the game up.
