Man City 0 - 1 United

VDS
Rafael Rio Vida Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Fletcher Park(O'Shea)
Berbatov(Giggs) Rooney

A great performance by the red devils which was nearly ruined by 2 moments of lunacy from Cristiano Ronaldo, which earned him 2 yellow cards and an early bath. United started brightly and missed a couple of good opportunities but at the end of the half Rooney notched his 100th club goal in his career. A goal which is arguably the easiest he has ever scored. His celebrations that followed would put a smile on any United fan.

Finally Fergie showed his believe in Rafael and got rewarded with an excellent performance from the young Brazilian. The other defenders were solid once again to record the 5th straight cleansheet in all competitions. Carrick was in my opinion the best player on the pitch, excellent passer of the ball. Rooney justified his inclusion in Nike's 'Put It Where You Want It' campaign when his shot from the half way line was saved superbly by Hart.

Next match is vs Blackburn in the Carling Cup quarter final. I don't care if some people mock this cup competition, I just want United to win.

Villareal 0 - 0 United

Kuz
O'Shea Rio Evans Evra
Ronaldo Carrick(Tevez) Fletcher(Gibson) Anderson Nani(Park)
Rooney
Another 0-0 draw which means United have qualified to the second round of the Champions League. A game which bored me to death. There was only one good chance for United, which ended rattling the crossbar.
The match in points :- Rooney's goal draught continues. Carrick was poor at times. The back four had an easy game and dealt with every threat without much trouble. Tevez was only given 5 minutes, I'm disappointed with Fergie. Tevez needs a goal, and 5 minutes don't really present Tevez much opportunities to get that morale boosting goal.
Next match vs Man City. I predict a draw but I just hope United get the 3 points. Another draw would put a serious dent on our title ambitions.

Villa 0 - 0 United

VDS
O"Shea Rio Vida Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Giggs Park
Tevez Rooney

A big disappointment. United could have reduced the gap to 5 points, and should we win the game in hand 5 points don't seem to be an awful lot. But the reality is that United played horribly especially in the attacking department. Both Rooney and Tevez had a stinker of a game. Rooney should have scored from an ideal position, a position from which I would have scored while juggling 4 tennis balls.

All in all I'm pretty disappointed, at least I learnt the reason why Berba has been starting instead of Tevez. He is completely out of form while his confidence has now hit rock bottom and only a couple of goals would boost his morale. When he was substituted he kept shaking his head. Some would interprete his gestures as a sign of disapproval to Fergie's decision but I think it was a gesture which shows his dismay after another poor performance.

Next match vs Villareal then the derby match vs City. I really don't feel confident. I feel our hopes of winning the league will virtually diminish if we lose vs City. And if they play like they did vs Arsenal, I really think that we might have to deal with our 3rd defeat of the season.

United 5 - 0 Stoke

VDS
O'Shea Evans Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Fletcher(Gibson) Park(Welback)
Tevez(Manucho) Berbatov

A lot of hype was built before this match with Stoke seemingly dangerous because of Delap's long throws. Everyone said United are under pressure following their 2-1 reverse at Arsenal but it turned out to be a relatively easy match and of course, an eye pleaser. United opened the score through a Ronaldo freekick. From that moment on it was all about United. Carrick added another right on the stroke of half time. Minutes after the break Berbatov got his second goal in the premier league, Welback scored a screamer and Ronaldo rounded things up with another trademark freekick. Excellent football.

I wished Tevez, who had an excellent game, scored a goal. It's evident that his goal vs QPR has worked wonders. Fletcher once again was excellent in midfield, he has grown and finally he is getting the deserved credit from the supporters and commentators.

Welbeck who was on the pitch for a couple of minutes scored what was the goal of the game. An excellent finish. I just hope he blooms into that kind of footballer we all are anticipating. Manucho made his Man Utd Premier League debut and could have scored on two occasions.

Last and not least, I'll have a word about Arsenal. I just can't understand that football team. On one day they beat United 2-1 and on others they lose to Fulham, Hull, Stoke and now Aston Villa. Surely not a title challenging team. But I should mind my own(United's) business.

United 1 - 0 QPR

Kuszczak;
Rafael, Evans, Neville (Vidic 90), O'Shea;
Gibson, Anderson, Possebon (Welbeck 72);
Nani, Park, Tevez.
Carlos Tevez's late penalty earned Manchester United a hard-fought 1-0 win over battling QPR in their Carling Cup fourth round tie at Old Trafford.
United dominated for large parts of the game, but found it difficult to break down a resolute Rangers defence.
The home side finally made the breakthrough 14 minutes from time when they won a penalty after substitute Danny Welbeck was felled by Peter Ramage inside the box.
The impressive Tevez kept his cool from the spot to send Radek Cerny the wrong way and send United into the quarter-finals.

Arsenal 2 - 1 United

VDS
Neville(Rafael) Rio Vida Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Anderson(Giggs) Park
Rooney(Tevez) Berbatov

Another match in which United dominated but couldn't score. We've experienced similar situations against Celtic and against Everton during the 1st Half. Let me point this out, it was one heck of a football match. Fast and free flowing, simply breathtaking, but those things don't seem to matter whenever your team loses the match. Arsenal scored 2 goals, the second a gem of a goal. The first was scored during a period when United were dominating and the other during the first minutes of the second half. Rafael who was called to replace Neville had an excellent game and scored a well taken goal too, just enough to spare United's blushes. I think Rafael should be given a chance because it's quite evident that Neville has become quite slow. On the whole United could have scored on several occasions especially through Rooney and Ronaldo who missed from ideal positions but at the end of the day United were just unlucky and I'm sure we'll bounce back.
I just hope its not too late to bounce back. 3 draws and 2 defeats in 11 matches. We've been waiting for our rivals to slip up but in reality we are slipping up. It's a fact that this year we have only gathered a point from a posible 9 against the other 3 teams froming the so called 'big four'. Last year we only lost once and drew once against a big gun. I have that feeling that this will be Chelsea's year. Neither us nor Arsenal have been consistent enough and I am sure Liverpool will soon turn into the typical Liverpool we have got used to seeing during the last decade.

OK now I just can't understand Fergie. Why on earth did he start with Neville against a team which is so fast. Anderson was by far the best player on the pitch, but why on earth did he replace Anderson with Giggs. He should have subbed Park with Nani. It's time he understands that these 'old boys' can't challenge players with so much pace like Arsenal's! And what about Berbatov? HE had another stinker. He lost possesion, slowed the game and practically didn't have much influence on the game as we would expect a 30million signing to have. I am still doubting Berba and I'm eagerly waiting for his revival. I want to see the Berbatov we got used to seeing when he played for Tottenham and Byern Leverkusen.

UNITED TILL I DIE! NO MATTER WHAT!

Celtic 1 - 1 United

Foster
Rafael (Evra) Rio Vida O'Shea
Ronaldo Fletcher Carrick Nani(Berbatov)
Tevez(Rooney) Giggs

A draw which practically, although not mathematically, sees us through to the final stages of this year’s Champions League. After Celtic's goal, United attacked Celtic for most of the match and only managed to cancel Celtic’s goal through Ryan Giggs on the 84th minute. United deserved the goal and should have scored another when Berbatov missed from an ideal position on the 90th minute.

Although I can’t say I’m delighted, I must state that I’m more than just pleased with United’s performance today especially in the second half. Everyone did quite well expect for one. Berbatov. He gave the ball away too often and missed a sitter. 30 mil? I still believe he isn’t worth the money but I HOPE that time proves me wrong! After all, most players aren’t worth their price tag nowadays.

Next match is vs Arsenal at the Emirates. They will have several first team players missing and their performances lately haven’t been impressive,so let’s just say that I expect United to win. It’s about time we get 3 points at the Emirates!

United 4 - 3 Hull City

VDS
Neville Rio Vida Evra
Ronaldo Carrick(Giggs) Anderson(O'Shea) Nani(Tevez)
Berbatov Rooney
It was a crazy, yet, a terrific game of football. It was played the right way, by attacking. But we all know that to win the Premier League one must defend as much as attack. United scored an early goal through Ronaldo which Hull managed to cancel twenty minutes later. But goals from Carrick, another from Ronaldo and a goal by Vidic put United 4-1 up. Game Over. So we thought! Hull, to their credit, managed to fight back and scored 2 goals which built up a tense final 10 minutes during which I nearly died, but thank God my reds managed to scrape through.

I was quite pleased for Ronaldo for getting another brace, Nani has evidently matured, Carrick played a good game and scored and Anderson shows why he is regarded as an excellent midfielder. Berbatov managed to unimpress me again. I don't think that he is worth the amount of money United invested in him, and I hope everyone admits it. I just don't think that a player who produces just one fantastic piece of skill every now and then is worth 30mil. Anyway I hope time proves me wrong.

Meanwhile Rooney has once again gone into one of his now famous goal draughts. That's the thing that bothers me about Wayne. He manages to score in successive matches and then go on for 5 to 8 matches without scoring. I hope he finds his scoring touch again, because I just love that player. I know he's a footballing genius, I just want him to show the whole world that he truly is a great player.
